Radio Frequency Technologies Used for Defence and Security
Organiser: Ioan NICOLAESCU - Doctoral School of Military Technical Academy, Romania
The Doctoral School of Military Technical Academy develops PhD programs in the field of defence and security. Some programs are carried out in cooperation with Erasmus partners and with NATO Communication and Information Agency in the Netherlands. The radio frequency technologies have a growing number of applications for military systems, such as: radar systems, special communication systems, through the wall imaging systems, ground penetrating radar, radio frequency identification systems, etc. These systems provide valuable information about distant environment using different types of sensors. The special session aims to bring together PhD students and experts who conduct research activities connected to defence and security.
Proposed papers: 1. The Main Solutions for Expanding Radio Coverage in TETRA Networks 2. Interference Analysis of Point to Point Microwave Links 3. FPGA-based Software Defined Radios for Analyzing Drone Communication Protocols 4. Detection and Localisation of Small Drones Using Commercial Off-the-Shelf FPGA-based Software-defined Radio Systems 5. Analysis and Design of Line-source Slotted-coaxial Feeders for Conical Reflectors Antennas for Space Application 6. The Influence of the Notch in Rectangular Dielectric Resonator Antennas
